Does anyone know what the valve clearances should be on a 88 trx 250x? Need to adjust them but don't have the manual.

One of the few things I bought for my ATV to start with.. From clymers directly I paid $27 shipped and go it in 2 days.

Here are the specs for the trx250x

Valve Clearance
Intake and Exhaust 0.10 mm (0.0004 in)

I have a spare head since the bottom end of my engine was cracked.. if you need it let me know.

 

I have an 87 250X and the Clymer says the clearance is .004. It250 4x4 typed it wrong. It is .004, not .0004.

 

i noticed u have a head for a trx 250x do u still have it if so what do u want for it

 

I still have it but don't want to sell it. However, I do have a White Bros. high performance cam and valve springs for the 87 250X that I'll sell.

 

I have the head, rocker cover, cylinder ,cam,wiseco piston and cylinder bike was running great but i would recommend new rings.. I was going to list everything on ebay for 100+ shipping.

The bike ran great but 3rd gear was messed up... I took the engine apart and found where the case was repaired before and not that good.. It seemed like it was as much for another ATv as it was for just replacing the engine.

Sorry the email got lost in a ton of other junk emails.. its was sent to my bulk folder. I still have it.. I havent even tried to sell it on eBay yet just becuase i thought about getting another engine.. I decided to part out the complete 250x now... Getting a 400 ex and a new DRR 90 for my son to race.
