top speed is around 50-55 mph

I don't think you should need a service manual for the routine maitnance

It is possible that an auto parts store will have the right oil, but certainly not a given. Three things to look for: The oil should be motorcycle specific and be rated API SG/JASO MA. The SG insures that it has at least a descent additive package, and the MA insures that it does not contain friction modifiers that will make your clutch slip.

It is just best to stay away from all the "car" oils! They contain friciton modifiers that are not good for your clutch, and they have downgrade additive packages, becasue of catalytic converters. I won't even run that crap in my car!!!

Don't let them stick you with the wrong oil! It can do more harm than good....

k, went by the autozone today and got valvoline motorcycle 4 stroke oil. just removed and emptied the full gas tank and now the oil is draining out of the engine. for filling the engine back up with oil, do i just put it in the oil check hole on the top of the crankcase like an atv that just uses normal car motor oil? or do i have to put it in 2 locations, like in the transmission or something?

Engine and trans share the same oil, so there is only one fill/dipstick hole. Takes a little less than 2 quarts, as I recall.
