Default Ignition Control Module

The son of a gun does everything it's supposed to except turn the cooling fan on. All troubleshooting steps point to the ICM It's a pricey part @ 150 bucks. Do I have any other options besides switching the fan on and off manually with a switch?

It would be possible to bypass the ICM. The ICM decifers when to turn on the fan and the oil light. I believe it trips the fan and light on by switch to ground meathod. If you have power to the fan (check it with a test light) then all you need is a ground to the oil temp sender on the engine. When the switch trips the fan will run. If you have trouble figureing it out, let me know. I will look at the wiring schematic and see which wires need to be connected where. It can be jumped at the ICM, only the oil temp light will come on when the fan runs.
