Default Xr100 Question

Yeah I know these are quad forums but I don't know where else to ask hah.

I was just workin on my old xr and cleaned the air-filter off.. put new oil on it, I took the lid and drilled about 6 small holes in the top just to help it get some extra air because it is pretty restrictive. I also took the spark arrestor out of the pipe. There's no need for a rejet due to that right?

It usually starts first kick with the choke up but it took 7 or 8. Just wondering if I may have done something wrong. There's no back pressure issues without the arrestor is there?

Default Xr100 Question

it may be running too lean, due to getting more air from the holes, I would try adjusting the air/fuel screw and go from there
