I have a 2003 400ex and Im lookin in to gettin new plastics. Does anyone know if the new plastics (05 and up) will fit my quad? thanks any help would be appreciated

 

i don't have a 100% positive for you but stock 400s from 99 to 04 were pretty much the same aside from from minor body stuff. I would like to say that it would not be a direct bolt on....

though anything is possible with time and money....

They have kits for that.look on ebay

 

it should just bolt right up, there 400ex has been basically unchanged for years, im suprised that they might be fuel injecting there 450r next year

 

yea but for 05 and up they have conversion kits to put the newer 05 and up on the older 99 through 04.

 

yea up till 04 they r the same , u got to but a conversion kit to put 05 and up plastic on the 04 's and down , they r usually on ebay (the best i can remember bout 100$) but ive not looked for one n a while

i did a ebay hunt for you but came up empty......but dont give up.. fender mounts should be easy to modify ,or make ...in the go kart racing world all the fender mounts are customisable for various frame plastic applacations ....some of these type mounts may work for you as well...good luck

when i was @ the honda shop fri i asked them & they said for new plastic , new mounts & hardware it was bout 500 , so surely u can get aftermarket less than that
