how do i get this muddy stain off of my engine??

Use an engine cleaner from an automotive store.

Is it oil that is stained on or what??

go to a wallmart or someplace and buy a cleaner called simple green. i used it. works like a charm. just spray let it set the wipe. sometimes wiping not needed

You can also go to your local honda shop and get a cleaner called Honda Brite. It will clean everything up.

Spray silicone on your engine to prevent mud from sticking and causing thoughs awfull stains.

How can mud stain an engine??...I don't get it, it would usually come off with water and soap...wouldn't you think??

I have this acid i use. Its nice. Works very well and keeps it clean forever too. Its used for aluminum stuff on semis, I would think you could go get some at like a Napa or something.

I have been trying for a month to find simple green around here. I don't think they sell it anymore. I used to buy it at Quality, and I think they had it at Wal-mart, but no more...

Try Castrol Super Clean or Purple Power. Both at available at wal-mart and both are biodegradeable. Awesome stuff. Use it straight or dilute to the recommendations on the bottle. Works great on wheels and engines also.
