400ex car hose/line help (Need to know where it goes?)
#1
Well just picked up a 05 ex. Guy said it didnt run/idle correct so he pulled off the carb to rebuild. Well he never did. I just went through and rebuilt the carb. Now while trying to install it I realized It has no fuel lines. I need info on which line goes where? Specificaly the tube with the y in it (I am assuming its fuel?) Please info would help, I want to take her for a ride and cant find a "search" that shows fuel/hose connection pionts.

Nobody can help? Maybe quick pic of there quad? It doesnt appear to fit anywhere. Maybe in a slot on the air tube? Doesnt seem likely to me but cant find any other spot. Doesnt look like anything is broken off.

I don't know if this will help, but I looked through my 250ex's service manual, and where my carb attaches to the airbox/air filter area, the closest hose to it is the "fuel hose." It looks as if the fuel hose leads off towards the gas tank as well, hopefully this can help you out.

the carbs change a lil bit. the bikes engine doesnt! the only hose thaT NEEDS TO BE CONNECTED for it to start is the big gas line. the rest of the nipples all over the carb are vacume lines and make no diffrence to how it starts. now if it runs funny after it starts, add diffrent lenghts of hose on the carb till it runs good!
kinda like sucking and blowing out a straw...the shorter it is, the easyr. the longer, well its harder. if it runs funny might be to much vacume, so it needs a longer hose. and the other way around as well
