Default Fuel problem

Hi,

New to the forum, thought maybe you guys could give me the scoop on the 07 rancher 400 carburator not allowing fuel into the engine. Anyone run into this issue?

Thanks, Bill

I would presume you have gunk caught in the float valve or in the jets. Also, on many Hondas you can unbolt the petcock from the tank and inside is a screen that could have plugged if you got some bad gas.

I suppose I'd first open the drain valve on the float bowl in order to determine if gas is getting that far. If not, unhook the gas line and turn the petcock to on and see if you get gas out of the hose.

That would at least narrow it down.

Definately getting to the bowl, first thing I checked was to be sure I had spark then made sure fuel was coming out of hose at the carb. So I guess there must be gunk in the carb.

Thanks
