I have a 1996 honda trx300ex
Its never given me any problems until yesterday when i was ridin.
It seemed to almost act like it was running out of gas, but with a full tank.
Id twist the throttle a bit and it would get goin but would eventually make a sound like running out of gas and cut off.

today i took out the carburetor bowl plug and cleaned that out.
It didnt do anything
then i took off the gas tank and emptied it and messed with the gas filter.
I dont know if that fixed it because it didnt have any gas but does anyone have any suggestions?

 

make sure you're choke isn't on. I did the same thing on my 400ex and realized my choke was on.

I just noticed today that it runs fine on the road but as soon as i go onto a dirt road or something bumpy it starts to act up.
Almost as if something is getting shaken out of place

 

hmmm... it might be something in the carb getting jarred around... that's pretty weird

 

hey i did some adjustments and rode it a few minutes ago and didnt have any problems
