Default take apart top off 400ex to get to piston

how do i get to were the pistons are at i took apart my engine cuzi was burning to much oil i think i fried a ring someone help..??

Get a service manual, and follow it carefully! Otherwise, you will make some major error and do more damage.....

when taking the top end of an engine apart,you gotta be really careful man. the piston is not hard to find man,how old is your ex. and do like ranger says and GET A MANUAL, without it you wont have any specs or know compression and consumption rate,stuff like that.

it might be a good idea to change the valve guide seals over to aftermarket one... the OEM seals do tend to leak

You know, there are some simple tests you can do to diagnose bad rings! Compression, and a leak down test.

Yesterday, you had to ask what rings are, so I don't think you are exactly qualified to do a rebuild at this point. What if the rings are fine and its the cylinder wall that's worn???? Lots of issues like that involved!
