Hey mx360snow, you and your ***** partner Rickeyparker shut the ***** up and mind your own business. If you don't want to help me, then don't, ********.
*That ***** partner remark just had me ROLLING on the floor*

For the thirteen year old example.
It is like shifting gears on Mountain bike. When you shift gears you are changing the gear ratio, you make it easier/harder to pedal. Small in front+big in back=not as fast, but really easy to pedal (atv=easy to wheelie, but lose top speed).
Hope that makes sense.

Hell no. (Kidding)
Criticism is not necessary for a simple question. The way you placed it, Turfguy, is a great example. Perhaps I will never ask this forum another simple question. I will simply leave mx360snow and Rickeyparker alone so they can have passionate butt-sex like they usually do. Thank you JeffinTD and Turfguy.

maybe you should think and read before you post....
If you are going to act a juvenile age please do not post anything further.
if you want to talk trash like a idiot 13 year old go play halo if you actually want help and learn something then ignore stupid comments.
as stated if you really want to learn grab a factory manual and look it up first before posting . then ask after you have read if you still need some further guidance.
W/ that said for your original question......
i'm assuming you picked the bike up w/ most of the aftermarket already on it.
so somebody else had probably laid into it pretty good. w/ being 5 to 6 years old.
you "may" be coming on needing a new top end. IE rings or piston and rings and possibly bore or sleeve job and probably a clutch
you will need a compression test to see how its doing... the manual that you are going to buy will have what the factory specs should be.
you have to have a $ amount to work w/ i picked up an 2000 ex and converted to a 440 but i did most of the work myself. so i didn't shell out too much...
you will pay out if you have a shop do it. working at a 60 to 85 $ per hour rate it adds up very quickly.
you could throw a high flow header and a stage 1 hot cam that you would probably see a difference and then ride it out until the top end blew ( you would have to rejet. w/ the header.)
then you could rebuild/ bore to 416 / 426 or 440
Hope this helps and seriously chill when your posting....

First af all, let me start out by saying that all of the mods on this bike were done by me. I know how to drive atv's night-and-day, I just am simply not very familiar with how they work.
I got pissed off at mx360snow because he acted as if I was retarted, and the next post he put said,"I made a few grammar mistakes but you should get the point." Hey mx360, there's an edit button, you know.
Rickeyparker, you're just a plain a**hole.
The truth of the matter is, none of you know anything about me. Find out the facts about me before you go assuming things.

By the way butty I am 14 years old. I didnt feel like editing it. You need to study up on your quads because one day your going to have something major to do and your going to bum out and quit and have someone else do it for you. You cant just bolt stuff in and ride and forget about stuff. You have to maintain it. I hope you dont get stuck out in the trails some day because you are going to get stranded out there and rely on your little cell phone to help you. When that doesnt work what are you going to do. Im just saying be prepared for the worst and know your stuff smarty pants!

Are you wanting it to go faster? If you are then yea just install a 440 kit. I am a 14 yer old GIRL and I have been riding since I was 5. Anyway, I rode a 2003 400 ex the other day and it just had a white brothers full exhaust and a new piston and jet kit. That thing was the fastest atv I have ever been on! It would fly! I am going to look at an 04 400ex tomorrow with a big bore kit. I'll tell ya how it is and if you have any questions, just ask.
