I'm about to buy another 250EX I spoke to the lady on the phone and she said that when sometimes her daughter rides it sounds like the fender is hitting the tires somehow. like a rubbing noise. The 250 Sits high and I see no way that could happen.

What do you guys think it is or could be? What should I be checking for?

How big is her daughter? If she looks like a cow, the fenders will rub. Could also be a cat under it.
If no cat, and her daughter is normal size, a loose shock, loose A arm pivot bolt, worn axle or swingarm bearings.

 

I looked at it and bought it this past weekend . It happened to have a bolt missing on the front fender and it rattled like hell when starting it. I also noticed that the clutch lever(bottom) was stripped out. It was a 2004 with low hours due to the clutch lever stripped and It had a set of paddles on it. Last registered in 2008.

I got it from a divorse sell and paid $1200 for it. I fixed it with less than $20 and it looks and ruins fine.
