400ex suspension
#1
Whats up guys n girls! I'm new to the forum bieng I just purchased a 03 400ex. I'm ready for upgrades now, and my question is, will 450r shocks front n back mount directly on my 400? Also i've ordered a full White Brothers e-series exhaust with White Brothers rev box. Whats your opinion on these items. Found parts on e-bay at a decent price, but dont know much about this company. And is there any trick to finding the right jets to use with this set-up. I also have a K&N.
Sorry so many questions.
Thanks,
Andy

Isn't White Bros out of business??? I think some other company took over their exhaust line???? My overall impression of WB exhausts, is that they are needlessly loud!
You do know you will need a rejet along with your motor mods, right? I would add in an EHS Racing airbox lid with Outerwears, and be aware that K&N's do pass dirt (I know this first hand!!!). I would suggest a ProDesign (ProFlow) adapter and foam air filter, instead of the K&N.
I have WorksPerformance shocks on my 00 EX, and 10 years later they are still performing superbly!!! (I have never liked getting cheapo shocks off eBay from some other model, and trying to cob them onto some other model they were never made for.)

450R shocks will fit the 400ex. However the rear 450r shock is shorter than the stock 400ex shock.
If you go to 450r shocks up front you may want to get the '04 or '05 shocks since they are not as stiff/hard as the '06 and newer 450r shocks.
Good luck and have fun.
