CVC joint stick gaurds for Rancher 420
#1
I bought a nice set from Aluminumproducts. com for the front of my 420, and install them tonight. Found them on Ebay for $50 plus shipping.
They are 3 sided, to cover the whole bottom and each side of the A frame. Even though they are 1/8 thick or more, the are light weight and made of aluminum. They make a vast improvement on stick protection compared to what Honda installed to protect the weak underbelly. Likel the best investment I'll make for the Rancher

I poked around the site last night and didn't find one so I guess there has not been enough demand yet. It also appears they only sell the front stick guards for the '09 Rancher - no rears, is that true? I'm guessing this is all because the IRS is so new to the Rancher.
I'm planning a trip to the Paiute trail in Utah this summer and need to protect the undercarriage of the ATVs, add a Winch on one, and some fuel and cargo carriers.

I'd recommend you call and inquire about the rear protectors.
I know it will cost much more to pay to have a boot replaced than the cost of the aftermarket front protectors. The protective coverage is about 300% more that the OEM protector.
While mine were on order, a stick lodged itself near one of my front cvc boots which I removed by hand after my g/f warned my it was there.

That's what I was thinking too. I will call them tomorrow.

I purchased the Aluminum products stick guards and installed them. They seem to protect the back and bottom well but dont seem to protect the front as well. they seem like they are cut to short and dont stick up high enough to offer enough protection. I cant seem to post a pict.

Perhaps there could be a bit more protection on the front, and I wondered about mine, and looked closer. ..Considering maybe you lookin at the front CVC joints from an elevated point (because you can), maybe re-look from a mid-to-lower level, as I would figure any stick might try to enter...They sure beats what Honda added for protection, Front, bottom and rear by far.
I dont sell these things nor do I have any investment in, or know anyone who works there. I just like what the product does for my 420 Rancher.
