just put a slip-on; on with k&n and drilled lid. was running a 146(dont know why) jet before and just went to a 42/155 but dont seem to notice any difference. also at full speed and letting off the gas i get no popping but in 1st and 2nd i get just a very faint pop after full throttle. did the same thing before jetting. is this normal or should i try a bigger main. seems to pop more with the air screw in. its about 3 1/2 turns out. will check plug tomorrow biengs i put a new 1 in at the same time.

also how hard is it to change the cam chain. i have a knocking noise when its cold but goes away when it warms up. replaced exhaust gaskets and adjusted valves. will a cam chain give these signs?

The knocking noise you hear when you first start is nothing to worry about. That is just the nature of the beast (they all do it to some degree),
