General motor question

Do rings slowly move around the piston as a motor runs? If I do a ring job and stagger the rings as I'm supposed to, and then a hundred running hours later take it apart, will the rings still be where I left them?

General motor question

On a two stroke, no.
On a four stroke, yes they can, and do rotate "some".
Stagger them anyway, and call it good.
