i have 87 trx 250x. i've been having electrical problems with it. one day it will run like a champ the next day it wont even start. i've bought a brand new main wiring harness for it, a new coil and a new switch for it too and still it gives me problems. any ideas?? i'll pull the plug out and i dont have spark on min and the next min i do. is it the cdi box??

 

ive got a 250x with a blown motor........may have some parts.....mines a 86.....

sounds like a bad connection to me...wich if u changed all those parts im shure youv'e heard that by now......

id check all the grounds and (clutch pearch switch if it has one) dont think mine does......if it does it will click when u pull the clutch in and out..

.it never hurts to go back over the connections again...my buddy has a warrior and has been fighting a wiring gost (works one min then nothing) 2 stators 2 wiringharnesses and 2 cdi boxes later .

he gave up and took it to the dealer for repair .......it was his key switch...

im pretty shure if the cdi is bad ...it wont work ever.......I have had fouled spark plugs do that on off thingy........

 

Mine did that. It was the CDI box. I coud push on the 2 plugs and get it to start sometimes. Replaced it and all is well.

 

alright i'll get a new cdi box for it.. ill let you know what happen.. thanks!
