Hey everybody,

I have a 91 TRX300 that has got me rambled. Try to start the thing and there is nothing (not even the click from the solenoid). I replaced the solenoid thinking I fixed it. Guess what, NOPE! I crossed a screwdriver over the solenoid posts and the starter turns over but engine doesn't start. Checked the ignition coil and the wire was practicley coming out of the coil. I guess my question is the starter should still engage regardless of whether the external coil and wire are bad, right? Thanks for any help!

 

The bike doesn't need fire to turn over .. But the ignition & starting systems both need the neutral switch ..
