Default hrc kit question

hello i just got my 2008 450er broke in and i am concidering a hrc kit. i don't think i will have any problem installing it, but i was wondering if this kit is going to affect the reliability of my bike? and i often drag race around the house and trail ride. will i notice a conciderable power difference? thanks for any replies

One of the first mods I made to my 450r was a hrc kit. yes the power was noticed immediately. If you want power its the way to go I also went with an aftermarket exhaust and filter kit. If I had to do over in my situation I think I would've went suspension first and power later. my .02cents

It nets you power overall, but mostly on the top end. When the kit first came out, they were saying you would need more frequent rebuilds, but I have a bunch of friends with high hours on their engines and nobody needing a rebuild yet.

The fastest R I know of, has nothing but the HRC kit, and opened up stock muffler.
