rejetting a 300ex

Default rejetting a 300ex

i have an 06 300ex. i am going to buy a fmf powercore exhaust. should i rejet the carb. if so which one should i buy.

im in the process of doing the same set up you are on my 300ex. yes you need to rejet. buy a dyno jet kit, and it recommends a dj118 for a new exhaust and lid on your air box. some people need a larger pilot jet as well. a dynojet kit will give you full instructions on what to do, i recommend it.

i ended up needing a larger pilot jet, may want to concider getting one of those as well. stock size is a 38, 42 is what many people are running

I have a 300ex with a Keihin carb. I bought it with a 125 main/high speed jet in it. Id like to move to a 130 or 140
