Default hesitation on hard acceleration

im re jetting my 300ex. has full fmf exhaust, +1000cdi, uni filter and no lid (but will drill it 1" holes) i jetted the main to a dj120 (roughly a 130 khein) and bumped up the slow jet from a 38 to a 45, 45 was all i had. needle is 1 up from bottom notch on clip.

the problem is im getting a hesitation between idol and midrange if i blip the throttle. if i ease onto the throttle i dont get that hesitation. so i lowered the clip one notch and nothing. so i increased the size of the slow jet and reset the pilot, 2 turns out, and that seemed to do better.

should i keep messing with the pilot jet? i think thats the way to go but want to make sure.

thanks alot

This happened to my 250X when I forgot to put the lid back on. So, just for kicks, try putting the lid on.

just my opinion but i think your idle jet is jetted too rich. my 400ex and 450r have the same mods and all i do is up the main jet and maybe adjust the needle, i leave the idle jet alone and they run great!.
