Im thinking about buying a 400EX. I wanted one with reverse but Im not a fan of the new body style. Is there a way that I could put the old style plastics on instead.

 

There is a way but you will need to modify all the brackets on the new machine. They changed several mounting points and the old plastic won't bolt to the new brackets. In fact you might have to cut the old plastics to accommodate some other components that might have been moved too.

It won't be easy, personally I would not even bother...... the new plastics are not that bad.
