Default 87 Honda Fourtrax 250x

Hi I just joined the forum, I need help getting a wiring diagram for our 87 Honda Fourtrax 250x. We purchased it and the previous owner hacked the wiring and we can't get it to run. We got it running once, but now we can't. We need to re-do the wiring. Also is there a way to test the CDI box? Thanks to anyone who can help. Nikki

Here's some ignition tests (thanks to Honda Mechanic). Basically, there is no test for the CDI. If everything else is good and there's still weak or no spark, then the CDI is bad.

Nikki,
How do you know the problem is electrical? One thing I learned is that just because a spark plug fires in the open (pulled and grounded), doesn't mean it will fire under compression. So, for a few bucks, make sure the plug is new.

The plug is new. And we're thinking it's the wiring since it was cut in several places
