I never posted anywhere that Honda had rear drum style brakes. I did however state that my 2003 Rincon had drum style brakes. Anyone who owns a Honda Rincon allready knows that.

I am not a "mudder" nor do I ride my ATV under water.

I have never had a problem stopping or any other brake related problem other that the left brake cable broke and a new one cost $25 from Honda. Didn't really matter because the foot brake worked just fine.

I would prefer that the park brake be a cable rather than fluid, I've seen too many hydraulic brakes bleed off and the ATV start to roll away. Seems to be a common problem with older Polaris'.

With close to 11,000 miles the original brake shoes are less than 1/2 worn.

I have no complaints and only hope to get that type of service from the disc brakes on my next ATV.

Riding mountain trails I see no need for "better" braking, at low speeds drums do just fine.
