Default 450 foreman smoking.....

When it is idling it smokes something terrible! When son is riding it is fine. It has like 2300 miles on it. Dh just changed the oil and he said it was black but not milky like water was in it. Any ideas?

bike is burnign rich by the sounds of it. Clean the air filter, and clean the carb, especially the jets. If your unsure, have the carn professionally cleaned.

If it's white/blue and it only smokes at idle I'd guess that it's your valve guides/seals.

It could be that when the oil was changed it was overfilied with oil . or it could be exccessive carbon builup in the combustion chamber causing the rings ro stick after warmup ; a cheap fix this problem mix a tank of Seafoam in your fuel tank and let it run a tank or 3 through the engine you can get the Seafoam from any auto part stores and your local and most WalMart Supercenters for around $6.00 + tax it's a little more from the parts stores good luck with you Foreman !.........

Williebee, I don't see any blue smoke. I mean it smokes BAD too! Dh did change the oil but said he doens't think he over filled it. He checked the oil level last night he said it is using oil. He doesn't know a whole lot about it that's why I am here. LOL Thanks so much for whatever help ya'll can give us! We are hoping it doesn't need the motor worked on. UGH!
