I know its not out yet but do you think a Rubicon with the un-locker and 28in tires would have enough power to throw a good roost. and are the gators a decent and cheaper alternative to the name brand 28inchers

what do you mean? the rubicon not out yet? they were out last summer bud. but you could have been talking about the tires so i'll just shut up! yeah the Rubicon has lotsopower! If you get something like those 28" i'd get a Supertrapp IDS2 and K&N power kit(filter and jets) this should really spruce the already king 4x4!

The word over at the Highlifter forum is that the 28 inch tires will require a lift kit and a fender kit that they make to replace the small round support rods behind the front tires. Some Rubicon owners, such a Boots11234 have installed 27 inch tires without the lift or fender kit, and one guy in the other forum named jford has put 28's on his without either, but he did have to bend the support rods and trim the rear fender. i would think that it would probably depend on which 28's you were using and if you were going to put the narrower size ones on the front. You can talk to boots11234 here, or post in the other forum to hear more about jford's Rubicon.
