Default anyone know how to silence my muffler or make a home made one ?

Hello I ride a suzuki quad but I also have a honda crf50 with a really loud muffler. I dont like loud exhausts and it is too loud for me and I want to quiet it down for steath riding on trails. Ive looked around for mufflers and silencers but I dont seem to find much offered for a quiet muffler for this bike. I was thinking of trying to build my own muffler out of some sheet metal or coffee cans or something. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Is it the stock muffler? I don't recall them being that loud. You could probably find a cheap stock one on ebay, and pack it pretty good. But you're gonna be backing up the air flow, so you may want to keep an eye on the plug for rejetting.

I would think you could get a stock take off on ebay or something pretty readily, and that would be your quietest option. Most aftermarket exhausts rely on packing to quiet them down, depending on what you have this may be what you need to replace. You also may be able to use a dB Dawg to get a bit quieter.
