I am a new member looks like a great site.I have a 300 honda fourtrax it recently started to bog out at about half thottle,I replaced the plug and it still does.Could this be a exhaust problem because it seems to sound a little louder than normal.any help would be much appreciated.

Well..The muffler could've split open? But I dont think exaust could hurt one that much... I run a Harley sportster muffler on my 300...

There should be 2 bolts that you can remove the spark arrester from the rear of the muffler , the Honda Service Manual calls for removing spark arrester every 50 hrs. and reving the engine to blow exccessive carbon build up in the exhaust , and theres a screen attached to spark arrester that you're suppose to clean with a wire bush to remove the carbon from the screen ; i would also suggest that you mix some fuel with SeaFoam and run a tank or 2 with the mixed fuel it does wonders at cleaning the fuel system and combustion chamber of exccessive carbon deposit's !

If this doesn't do the job check your valve clearance and adjust them if needed , and welcome to the forums !
