Chain thing???? What quad...300EX?
Something is very very wrong if you are having clearance problems with any of the Holeshot tires mounted on rims that are stock or close to that size! I have run Holeshots on all different types of quads for the last 20 years and never had a problem.
Can you post some pics?

Again, what model of quad? Your picture looks like a 300EX (seeing you mentioned a "chain"), but also looks kind of like it could be a 250EX which is shaft drive.
Which Holeshot models are you talking about??? You aren't trying to run utility ATR's on your little EX are you????
I just can't imagine you actually have any issue here! Should be miles of clearance with any other Holeshot model, and your skid plate is on the bottom so it should not be an issue, unless your quad has some very weird mods (like a really skinny axle).
I ran Holeshot XC's (22' front/20" rear) on my 300EX and 250EX's. The XCT's (23" front/22" rear) give a little more ground clearance, but are kind of heavy for a smaller quad. If you are on a budget, the Standard Holeshots (21" front/20" rear) are light, but wear out a little quickly.

Whats the tires size? If the numbers are the same as the old stock tires how can they be wider?
They do not make 22x7-10 that are 8" wide or they would be calld 22x8-10 instead.
