Bent Intake valve Stem?
#1
I posted an earlier problem about my 400 Rancher not starting. I've dug deep and found the intake valve not closing. It looks like the stem is bent. Will have to take it to a dealer to get a new one as I don't have the tools to compress the valve spring. Anyone hear or have this problem before. Seems rather serious and abnormal motor failure.

The valve stem shouldn't just bend .. Did the valve touch the piston .. If your just taking the head to the dealer then I would check the engine cam timing & the push rods before re-installing the head or you may end up with another bent valve..
