should i buy one for trail riding i heard they were reliable and i also heard the dont have revers is this true if so is there any way to get reverse

 

400=great trail bike and super reliable. no reverse. gotta get a 05 or newer for reverse. they are a awesome quad but other brand 400s will usually outperform a 400ex. the 400ex is simple though. not as high tech so theres less to go wrong= cheaper and less repairs

 

i got a 400ex as my first sport quad, and man i love this thing. its an 07, i raced an old raptor 660 that had a blown 2nd gear and i kept up with it. it seems really tough for sure and is a great ride.

 

I just got a 2000 400EX and it is great for the trails , hills and mud. and it dosent seem to beat you todeath.
