Default 450 Foreman Brake Problems

I just put new brakes on my fourwheeler today, its a 1999 foreman 450 es. I got them on and went to bleed them and got nothing, i even took the lines off and the master cyclinder wasnt pumping any fluid at all hardly just maybe a little drop but that was probably just leaking out(im starting to think the master cyclinde is bad but im really not looking forward to buying that 150 dollar part). Also on the back of the calipers there is a little black hose that looks as though it goes to the handle bars somewhere, it is broken off, i thought maybe this is a vacuum line somehow. So any ideas on what my problem is

The small hose you talking about is a vent line. Fix it back on or your new brakes will become full of water quickly.

Unfortunantly it sounds like you let your master cylinder go dry, and its a PITA to get the air out of it. I cracked the line comming out of the master cylinder on mine and kept pumping it and refilling it until air stopped bubbling in the master cylinder. I left the cover off while doing this. It took awhile but it eventually came around.

If not, you can get a rebuild kit for the Master cylinder instead of buying a new one.

Ill have to try that cause your the second person who has said that now. I have a friend thats a diesel mechanic and he said that its probably just air locked somewhere. Thanks
