Default Dumb question about ITP rims

Bought my first ATV, 07 Rincon ,its got ITP rims, mudlite tires looks nice.
I wanted to take off the front tires to clean the disk brakes. One side was making some noise.
Is there a special socket to remove the lug nuts. Do you need to remove the center cap?
Thanks

Most likely a 14 mm socket will remove the lug nuts and no you do not remove the center caps.

On mine, the center cap just sits in there, and can indeed vibrate and sometimes make noise. I put some foam under mine to keep them quiet.

Not knowing exactly what rims you have, it is hard to say what socket you might need. Are they actually 14 mm or is it larger (like 17 mm)? Sometimes with alloy rims where the bolts go deeper into the rims, I find it necessary to use a spark plug socket becasue they are thin walled.

Is the center cap the metal kind? If they are like mine, they do tend to move around a little bit. You can't remove the center cap unless you take the lugnuts off.

If I'm not mistaken, I think they are 17mm. I never had to use a special socket. I just used a deep well socket.
