I need some help with a 98 Honda 300 4x4. It idles perfect but once you get riding around it won't run. It will idle but as soon as you hit the throttle it dies out. Could this be the main jet being pluged. Any help would be very appericated.

Thank you

Could be moisture settling in bottom of carburetor float bowl. Shut off fuel valve, drain carb float bowl through dump tube. Replace fuel in tank (drain through reserve port), or add a whole bottle of "Dri-Gas," "Heet," or similar fuel treatment. open up fuel valve (be sure you close carb drain screw), and give 'er a try.

Otherwise, you COULD have a clogged main jet--use liquid carb cleaner, if unsuccessful, remove carb, disassemble, clean, adjust, reassemble and reinstall.
