I have a 2000 honda rancher. It will not shift out of reverse. I bought an angle sensor and replaced it. That did not work. You can hear it try to shift by the clicking noise but still nothing happens. It also wont change gears with the manual shift lever either. Any ideas wjat to check next? Anything would be great!

 

I would first check the shift plate .. There was an updated shift plate several years ago .. Do you know if yours was updated ..

If i call and check if the shift plate has never been changed do you think honda would change it under this for free
