Need help with 97 300 trx. No Fire.

Just got through replacing the one way clutch on my 300 fourtrax and now it wont start. Honestly i didnt try and start it before i began the project. Im pretty sure theres nothing i could have messed up on the crank case side. I have the Clymer Manual but was hoping that someone had maybe already had and fixed a firing problem. I hooked a fluke multi-meter to the batt and kick started it. I do get a voltage spike, so that tells me the alternator is working. Am i looking at a pulse generator problem or an ignition coil problem? Any help would be great. Thanx

I figured out what was wrong and u wont believe it. The plug for the neutral indicator light wasn't securely on the pin. The plugs are located on the outside of the crank case cover, which i had to remove and reinstall. So looks like it was my fault after all. But for future reference to all those with a 3oo trx. Make sure you check all plug connections on the crank case side of the engine behind the black metal cover before you jump to conclusions about a firing problem.
