thanks for all the replies, fellers! i got some clear window decal cling sheets from staples that work perfect. also, sure enough, the oil in the engine was a quart low, and the coolant in the radiator itself needed to be topped off. after doing those, riding around for a while, no temp lights coming on anymore. in fact, the fan kicked on alot less (only once). problem solved! i will let the dealer know and will expect a few quarts of oil for free from them for the trouble. i love this machine!!!
