Default wheels and tires on 08' 250ex

so I have been looking around at some nice aluminum wheels to put on my 250ex and I like the designs of the 12" wheels better than the 10" wheels. and I just wanted to know if I could put 12" wheels and tires on my 250ex? and how much acceleration and torque would I loose? or would i even notice any difference. thanks in advance for you help.

Taller tires will raise your effective gearing. You will lose low end power, and gain top speed....and look kind of stupid IMO!

I know 12 and even 14" wheels are all the rage on utilities, but a sport quad needs tires that have more sidewall and cush, and a low profile to keep the center of gravity down where it was designed to be. For this reason, I stick with 9" rims. I run ITP Holeshot or TrakStar tires on ITP 9X9" Baja or T9 rims. The great thing is that they are wider than stock and have a greater offset, so the quad is +4" wider for a very nice increase in stability.

+1........... You will loose a-lot of bottom end, just what the 250 ex's have, gain speed, look like a dufuss, and roll a-lot easier

holla
