Default 250ex handguards

I am looking for a set of handguards for my 08 250ex. Wondering if anyone had them on and could recommend a set that fit right. I tried a universal pair on my 400ex but the brake resovoir was in the way.

If you can find a pair of Barkbusters, (with Maier plastic cups) they are really hard to beat. I have been using mine on different ATVs for over 16 years, and they were originally bought for my 1994 TRX300EX

First requirement is to replace the crappy stock steel handlebars....since they are heavy like a brick and not particularly strong (plus I don't think you will ever get those stock inserts out of the ends). We found some TAG Metals X-5 bars that had a similar bend but are lower, so that worked out really well. Once you have some descent bars, then you can try different bark busters to see which ones you like best and what will fit with your levers and hardware.

If you want "real" bark busters that are indestructible, like the ones you would need on a trail motorcycle, I highly recommend the Acerbis Rally Pro!!! If you just want some fluff handguards that are only intended to keep your hands out of the wind or deflect light brush, then there are a hundred different brands out there to choose from, just going to have to try them till you find what fits.
