I have a 1986 FourTrax 250 and when I turn it on and rev the engine the oil temp light comes on and goes away as soon as I let go of the accelerator...any help as to what the problem could be?

 

The problem is probably with the temperature control unit .. But check wires , couplers , and fuses ..
