Default 400EX Jetting Inquiry

Hey everyone, just picked up a super clean 2005 Trx 400EX, bone stock. I added the nerfs, ims pegs, and uni filter as well. Additionally, I purchased an HMF slip-on, dynojet kit, and EHS racing lid.

Here's the question: Essentially, I will be jetting the main with most likely a 165 and start from there because the EHS lid simulates an open air box, will I have to replace the stock needle? From what I understand the 2005+ have some differences in the carb from previous years (99-04) - like a non-adjustable needle. Anybody have a similar setup to perharps guide me in the right direction? FYI - I'll be sea level-1500ft max

Thanks!

- Lou

The dynojet kit should have or come with every thing you will need.

I have an 05 also. I bought it used. It was super clean and bone stock. I added HMF sport series full exhaust k&n, Power Lid and Dynojet kit. I'm @ 600 ft mine runs best with 155 jet. Anything bigger it wanted to flood.
