700XX or Outlaw IRS??????
#1
I'm looking at buying a new quad this spring. I've narrowed it down to the 700XX or a Outlaw IRS. My main riding areas are tight trails with some mud and water crossings. I do intend on making a trip to Silver Lake with it this year also. I love the IRS on the Cat I own now so I would like to stick with it. Just looking for something capable of a lot of low end chugging and mid range grunt. Top end is not a major concern for me. ( I'm to old to heal fast anymore LOL). So Sound off people and let me know what you think. P.S. I already asked this question on the Polaris board and got 2 votes for the 700XX.

I would make a poll if I were you. I already voted as you know but wanted to add that there is nothing like a big single thumper motor that the 700 provides. For you riding style this motor will really shine!

Everything I've read says the Outlaw handles better with a stiffer suspencion. Both are great crossovers to the sport quad world in my mind. I'd probably go with the Honda, personally, as it has fuel injection.

x2 forgot about that point

The XX is a huge and heavy pig. To big for the average person, but if you are a big guy and don't mind the huge penalty that you will pay on a sport quad for every pound of extra weight....then maybe it is for you? Honda IRS is as smooth as butter in the rocky stuff!
Guy camped next to us at Pismo had the Outlaw, and you could clearly see that it pulled to one side (especially on jumps), when he really got on the gas (presumably from the asymmetry rear end).

Ok a little more info. I'm 6'1" and about 275lbs. Weight is always an issue on every machine for me.LOL

Well then, I would say the XX is sized for you, and you might find the Outlaw a little small.
