Default Opinions please

I ride a stock 04 400ex and was thinking this might be a good budget friendly way to get a little more out of it. Has anyone used this pipe or CDI and does this seem like a good deal? I ride mostly in the sand out on the flats and climbing dunes with a little bit of trails here and there. Any info greatly appreciated.

That would be a good start with the addition of jetting accordingly for the up in air flow. Also when I had a 400ex dropping a tooth in the front helped alot in the sand. Trying to pull with stock gearing was a little too much for it, especially up hills.

Yeah you can't really compare a 700 to a 400 just 2 different animals. Just have to work with what u got, a 400ex isn't the best in the sand, don't get me wrong I loved my 400ex, it just wasn't my style of riding.
