Default questions on the 250x

im looking to buy a cheap 250x. I dont care if its not the fastest or best honda sport quad. I dont want a 400, so dont tell me to get one. Its the same as a 300 and if i wanted to i can just swap over a 300 engine into it. IM looking for feedback on the quad. Does the 250 provide plenty of power for lie a 185lb rider? will it bottomn out on jumps?

Love my 250X. Runs fantastic and the shocks will adjust so I think 185 is fine. They are about 20 lbs. lighter than a 300. But I wouldn't let it go for less than 2000. But there are cheap ones out there. Look around.

The 250x was my first sport quad i owned about 7 years ago. It was a great little quad. It had enough power to do many of the things that the big boy quads were doing. Just not as good as they did. It was just a great all around quad. I wish i hadnt sold it now. But yeah, if you find a cheap one, it is almost worth it all the time. Easy to fix, easy to maintain, and ebay has a ton of parts for it since it is pretty much the same as a 300ex. Good luck with it!

Yeah it will be better. The newer 250exs have an actual drive shaft i believe so that is going to weigh you down. I have heard they dont put out that much power either. I would stick with the 250x for a few main reasons. Cheap to own, cheap to fix and they are pretty much interswappable (if thats a word) with the 300ex if it ever breaks down.
