Default 1984 big red 200ES

hi guys i have 84 honda big red 200ES.the trans is stuck in gear.I have tried to put it in netrual.it wont move.any ideas?

I hate to ask this but have you tryed rocking back and forth while trying to get it out of gear?

Be sure the Forward/Reverse selector is completely engaged into Forward. It will sometimes kick out without appearing it has.
If that's not the issue, it's internally and there's a laundry list of what "could be" wrongs that isn't going to help much into you get in there.
You will want to inspect the sub tranny first and then on to the main one, which requires an entire splitting of the cases on that model.

I just had to beat/soak/pry mine apart. brakes were stuck to the drum and I thought the gearbox had locked up...and I used to build transmissions for a living Definitely time for a new hobby

My G/F has a 82 200 Honda that was stuck in gear. There is a a nut with a threaded rod on the right side of the engine. I loosened the nut and turned the rod half a turn and voila!! The old girl shifts again...
