Default Honda 350X

Would anyone out there know off hand if a rear shock from an Ex400 would fit an 86'
350x trike?
The rear suspension is completely gone. So I'm looking to get other ideas. Or even know a place that can recharge the stock cylinder?
Thanks

When you say the rear suspension is gone do you mean the swingarm and the shock..or just the shock?

A 400EX rear shock will not work. No room for the piggyback rezzie even if the mounts at the bottom were the same.,.which they aren't anyway. This also applies to the 450R rear shock...which is really just a modified 400EX shock itself.

A 300EX shock doesnt have a rezzie at all, but it requires boring the upper shock mount eye (on the shock) to bolt up, along with it being a little shorter and softer than the 350X shock. Ofcourse, if you trail ride and want a lower ride height, this may be the way to go.
