AMP Link - anyone using one on a 400EX?

Saw the AMP link ads in the mags. Looks interesting but is kinda spendy... I haven't ran across anyone using one. Comments?

I have been to;d that the amplink will only work on a machine that has the front sproket some distance from the swing arm pivot piont. This is why it works very well on the Banshee and the ATK bike, but not very good on anything else.

i had one on a warrior one time,and i think it was a waste of money.it's too noisy and i never noticed it's claim to get better traction.

I don't think they make them for the 400. I also believe they quit making them for the 250R, due to problems they were having.

I'm pretty sure that there is no need for an amp-link on a 400ex because it is a linkage rear end. What it is should do is eliminate chain torque which makes the rear suspension more ridgid when your on the gas. The thing is on a linkage rear suspension (which the 250r and 400ex have) chain torque isn't apparent because of the design. I can tell a huge difference between my blasters rear suspension when coasting oand when I'm on the gas, but on my 400ex, it isn't noticable. I wouldn't go for one anyway, as I have heard that they don't do that much, and cause quite a maintaince headach, especially if they break, which quite often results in a cracked case.
