Default 1984 Honda Forman 350 4x4

I've recently been having a problem with my Foreman. When I start and put it into gear ( forward or reverse ) the motor stalls ( dies ) I sometimes have to restart the unit 15 -20 before it will finally go into gear an not kill the engone. Any suggestions ? Correction its an 1987

Does it jump and then stall? If so, it's a clutch. If it doesn't jump but stalls, it sounds electrical. Describe how it stalls. Instantly or does it slowly die? Slowly could be carb. Instantly could be electrical.

Is the idle speed correct, and the change clutch adjusted properly?

It kind of sounds like the centrifigual clutch is dragging. Maybe a broken spring, or the hub bearing?

As I'm puttiing into gear the engine quits , ( even before it gets into gear ) If I put it into gear quickly it jumps and dies. How do you adjust an auto matic

What's the idle speed set at?

Have you checked the adjustment on the change clutch?
