Hi All.. I picked up some of the Slime for my tires and was wondering how much each tire should take. The formula on the bottle sure seems to be over kill and was wondering if anyone used it and how much they used.. Thanks

We used the recommended amount in the stock tires in our Beartracker and never had another flat.

I've used it. works great.use the recommended amout due to the fact it needs to cover the whole inside of the tire. Don't forget to ride about 5mls after you put it in.

i didn't like having slime at all. all it did was turn the holes into slow leaks, and does nothing at all to seal sidewall punctures.

But then, it's not really designed to seal sidewall punctures. For what it IS designed for though, it works great!

I have a question. I just got new tires they came put together with chrome valve stems and the PJ1 sealent, bought them from rockymountainatv, anyways how does the sealent stuff suposta work? I drove to a friends house the other day it was very cold outside (might have been why?) but after arriving at his house about a half hour later I went outside and noticed that my new tire was almost flat, no holes or anything, pumped it back up and it seemed fine, a couple hours later I rode it home with no problems. Think it was just cuz of the cold or something? The PJ1 treatment was only a couple bux but does it even work?!

put a couple of drops of soap in the air valve to see if its leaking. sometimes after tire treatment the valve core isn't tightened enough

I am having the same problem with my new tires. I bought TSL super swampers. When I try and run them at around 4 or 5 psi they leak around the rim.

After riding my quad for a month or so i developed a snow leak in the right rear tire. No matter what i did i couldnt get rid of it. Finally i went to walmart and bought four bottles of their generic brand "slime".
It worked great!!! I haven't had to put any air in my tires since. That was two 1/2 months ago.

I got the 16 oz bottles and used 1 bottle for 2 tires. It seems to be working ok. The only reason I used half the recommended amout is it seemed like alot of extra weight in the tire.
