my 01 Rubicon finally has a problem

On one hand I hope it was a glitch, but then on the other hand if it was more persistant I could fix it and not worry about it.

I "exercised" it again today without a problem.

still no troubles, I think I'll leave it alone rather than taking the chance of creating one

I hate the little ****ling things that are intermittent like that. You get it to the mechanic and it doesn't repeat the symptoms. Like you, I'd rather know and get it taken care of.

I have this sporty little Fluke 97 Scope-Meter and the factory manual (somewhere).
If the problem would set a code or even stick around for a while I can diagnose it.

I don't care for "intermittent" problems either.
